Jewellery Care

Lauryn Rose simulated diamonds will retain their colour, clarity and sparkle for a lifetime. Pollution, dust or everyday wear can dull a stones appearance. It is, therefore, advisable, to keep your jewellery clean. This applies to diamonds as well as our simulant diamonds.

To clean your jewellery use warm water with jewellery cleaner or liquid detergent. Let your jewellery soak for 15 to 30 minutes and then gently clean your jewellery using a soft jewellery brush ( or soft toothbrush ). Ensure you brush upwards under the stones.

Rinse off with warm water and pat dry with soft tissue paper. If you clean your jewellery often then you will keep your Lauryn Rose jewellery shining to its true colour and sparkle to its true clarity

Daily Jewellery Care Guidelines:

To look after your Lauryn Rose Jewellery

  • Examine your jewellery regularly to ensure settings, clasps and joinings are secure.
  • Avoid exposing your jewellery to household products ( such as bleach ) as it will quickly cause discolouring.
  • Remove your jewellery before activities or exposure to hard surfaces.
  • Always store your jewellery in a secure pouch or box, when you are not wearing it.

WHAT IS “RHODIUM”?

Rhodium, a member of the platinum group, is a shiny white metal that is highly reflective, durable, and expensive. It is often used as a hardening agent for platinum. In the jewellery Industry, rhodium is plated on other metals to increase radiance and eliminate dullness and tarnishing.

HOW DO I CLEAN AND TAKE CARE OF MY RHODIUM PLATED JEWELLERY?

It is recommended to use a simple jewellery polishing cloth that is coated with special jewellery cleaner. These are widely available and are very easy to use. Cotton cloth could also be used. Keep gold and silver cloths separate.

DO NOT use silver liquid cleaner to clean rhodium plated jewellery because it is too harsh and can dull and harm rhodium plating.

It is strongly advised that you store your silver jewellery in a dry and air-tight area ( such as a jewellery box or zip-lock bag) when not wearing them to keep tarnish to a minimum.  It is also strongly advised to take off your rhodium plated jewellery when you put on hairspray, wash your hands, shower or swim.

Your rhodium plated jewellery may turn quickly if it meets those chemical substances. Although silver jewellery is scratch resistant it isn’t scratch proof, so it is recommended that you store each piece of silver jewellery separately, so it is not rubbing against other items.
